Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) -The Rochester School District has been awarded a $2 million state grant for after-school programs.

The Boys and Girls Club of Rochester, along with several organizations serving local immigrants, applied for the funding to provide out-of-school-time academic enrichment opportunities and other services, programs and activities to complement the school district’s regular programming.The funding will be spread over three years, but the school district can apply to extend the program for another two years.

The after-school programming will be offered at the school district’s four middle schools, along with Gage and Riverside Elementary Schools and four sites operated by the community organizations.
