Officials say over 80-percent of the businesses passed an alcohol compliance check that was conducted by the Olmsted County Sheriff’s Department on Wednesday.

Underage buyers attempted to purchase alcoholic beverages at 32 retailers throughout the county and were successful at six of the businesses.

The Sheriff’s Department identified those businesses as; Oronoco Gas N Go, Jeff’s Little Store, the Eyota American Legion, Chatfield Bootleg Liquor, Shar’s Country Palace, and the Douglas Saloon.

Officials say those businesses could face civil fines and criminal charges.
