SE Minnesota High School Baseball Section Title Games Set
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) The area high school Section One baseball championship games are set.
Hayfield and Lewiston/Altura will meet Tuesday for the 1A title.The game will be played at Rochester’s Hudson Field, beginning at 5 p.m.
Undefeated Lourdes will face Kasson/Mantorville for the AA title. KM had to come out of the losers’ bracket to make it to the championship game, including Saturday’s 4-0 win over St Charles. Lourdes creamed St Charles in an earlier game, winning 13-1. The Lourdes/KM game will be played Tuesday at Mayo Field, also a 5 p.m. start.
In AAA, Rochester Century lost 2-0 to Hastings on Saturday to drop out of the tournament. Hastings lost its next game to Owatonna by a score of 2-1. Owatonna will face #1 seed Northfield in Red Wing on Tuesday (5 p.m.). Northfield crushed Owatonna in Saturday’s game by a score of 13-2 (5 innings).
