Rochester MN (KROC AM News) - For the first time in weeks, gasoline prices in Rochester have gone up.

Stations increased the price for regular from an average of $1.78 per gallon to $1.90 Tuesday night.

According to Minnesotagasprices.com, that’s in line with the statewide average. The website says the current price is about a dime lower than a month ago and 25 cents below where it was a year ago.

Numerous stations around the state were still selling regular for under $1.70 a gallon as of Wednesday afternoon.

The increase came even as oil prices continue slumping.
