The streak is over.  Rochester’s streak of below normal temperatures that began on January 4th will end today. And a new streak will begin as several days of above average temperatures are in the forecast.

During the below normal streak, temperatures recorded at the Rochester airport ranged from a high of 20 above to a low of 17 below. Below zero temperatures were recorded on nine days of the 10 day streak. The normal high temp this time of the year is 23 and the low is 8 degrees.

Not only are temperatures expected to be above normal during the next several days, it may finally get above freezing Saturday. The last time that happened was the day after Christmas.
