Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) -  A Rochester woman has been sentenced to 5 years on probation for her conviction on a felony vehicle theft charge and a gross misdemeanor count of drunk driving.

22-year-old Sophia Forsman was also given a jail sentence that matched the 107 days she has already spent behind bars following a chase and crash in Rochester last August. She was arrested after she lost control and crashed a stolen pickup truck in the Memorial Parkway neighborhood, north of Apache Mall, while trying to evade police.

The pursuit began when an officer spotted the truck in downtown Rochester around 1:30 in the morning on August 25th and ran a license plate check, which indicated the pickup had been stolen the previous day in Stewartville. When the officer turned around to make a traffic stop, Forsman sped off at a high rate of speed and ended up rolling the pickup at the intersection of 8th Avenue and 11th Street Southwest.
