Rochester Told to Get Ready For Some Heavy and Wet Snow
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - The National Weather Service is warning that in approaching weather system will likely produce significant accumulations of heavy, wet, slushy snow.
A Winter Storm Warning has been issued for the southern quarter of Minnesota and northern Iowa from noon on Tuesday through 6 PM Wednesday. Officials say the exact track storm remains uncertain, but forecasting models are showing an increasing likelihood that a band of heavy snow will develop in southeastern Minnesota, where 4 to 8 inches is predicted along either side of the I-90 corridor.
At this point, forecasters believe the snow will arrive in this region by late Tuesday afternoon.
