Rochester Ronald McDonald House Announces Leadership Change
Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) -The Ronald McDonald House of Rochester is preparing for a changing of the guard.
After serving over 23 years as the executive director of the “home away from home” for children seeking medical treatment and their families, Linda Bonow has announced she will be retiring at the end of May. Since joining the Ronald McDonald House team in 1992, Bonow has seen the charitable operation grow from a 14-room house to a 42-room facility that serves almost 1,000 families each year.
“Linda has dedicated not only her career to this House, but also her heart. The House would not be what it is today without her leadership, vision and most importantly, her passion for children and the mission,” said RMHMN board president, Justin McNeilus. “As she passes on the baton, it is bittersweet as we simultaneously send off our biggest champion and welcome our new leader.”
Peggy Elliott, the current associate director of the Ronald McDonald House, has been chosen as her successor.
