Rochester Receives Record Rain

Rochester, MN  (KROC AM News) - More than an inch of rain fell across the Rochester area Friday.

Rochester’s official total was 1.61 inches - a record for May 11. The previous record of 1.06 inches was set in 1999.

Rochester has received rain on 8 days this month and the monthly total as of Friday was nearly 4 inches.

Friday was also the coolest day of the month in Rochester. The official high was 50 degrees and the low was 39. Saturday's unofficial low was 37 degrees.

Warmer and dry weather is expected for the Mother’s Day weekend.
