Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - At least three Rochester homes were burglarized Wednesday - during the day while the owners were away.

Two of them are located within a few blocks of each other.

One is located in the 5900 block of 24th Ave NW. The homeowner returned from work Wednesday afternoon and discovered a burglar had gained entry by breaking a window. Police say the house “had been gone through” and some jewelry, cash, and a laptop were missing. The loss was put at $1,000.

The owner of a residence in the 5500 block of 25th Ave NW returned and discovered the home was cold - and then found the patio door window had been broken. Missing was a video game system valued at $600.

The third residence that was hit is located in the 300 block of 6th St NW. Entry was made through a broken window and the burglar made off with a tablet.
