Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - Three men are being sought by Rochester police as suspects in a daytime incident involving weapons that took place in a southeast neighborhood Thursday.

Captain John Sherwin says a man called 911 around 5 p.m. to report three men had just stolen his car. It’s suspected the 24 year old man had driven to the 1400 block of 4th avenue southeast to buy some drugs from a man.

When the victim arrived, the man got into his car - and then two more men got into the rear seat. The first man flashed a knife and demanded the victim’s money. One of the men in the back seat then put a gun to his head. The victim told the men the money was in the trunk and when they went to check, he fled on foot. He returned to find his car was gone.

Police later located it near the south side of the Eastwood Golf Course.
