Rochester Man Suspected of Assaulting Woman Inside Van
Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - A Rochester man was arrested on a domestic assault charge after a witness reported seeing him punching a woman while inside a van at the Gates apartment complex Saturday afternoon.
The witness told police the man was first seen dragging the woman to the van while she was holding her 6-month-old baby. The witness said the van the two were in was shaking during the assault.
The van was still there when officers arrived and they discovered the woman had blood on her face. She refused to cooperate but based on information from the witness, the officers arrested 22-year-old Catrell Kobold.
He got into more trouble when he was being searched at the Olmsted County jail. Deputies found 4 grams of the drug Ecstasy in his underpants.
