Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - The Rochester Downtown Alliance handed out not one but two awards during its annual meeting Wednesday.

The RDA presented its Sandy Keith Downtown Impact Award to outgoing Rochester Mayor Ardell Brede. He was recognized as this year’s winner of the organization’s Individual Award.

The Organizational Award winner was Café Steam.

The RDA’s Sandy Keith Downtown Impact Award is presented to an individual, organization, or business whose efforts have made or are making an impact on the Downtown community. The goal of the award is to recognize those who demonstrate passion for urban growth and community development while encouraging others to do the same.

The RDA says it was decided to hand out two of the awards this year “due to the number and quality of submissions we received.”
