Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - With two months left in the year, Rochester homebuilders have already taken out more permits this year than all of last year.

The city approved 25 more permits for single family homes in October. That raised the year-to-date total to 369. The total for all of 2015 was 364. The October total was about half the number from September and the same month a year ago.

It appears the city’s overall valuation for new construction will hit or get close to $400-million this year. Through October, the total had climbed to $370-million.
