Plea Agreement in Case Connected to Fatal Bus Crash

Minneapolis, MN (Learfield Wire Services/TTWN Media Networks) -- A guilty plea was entered Friday in a criminal case stemming from a deadly car-bus crash last summer.

Witnesses say 27-year-old Tyler Randall Bjelland was swerving all over the road and going at least 70 miles-an-hour when he slammed his car into a bus last summer. One person was killed and a second was critically injured.

Bjelland entered a guilty plea to criminal vehicular homicide Friday. He admits he was driving drunk July 21st. Forty-eight-year-old bus passenger Kenneth Foster was killed. Another passenger, 19-year-old Markus Anthony Dashawn Jackson suffered a traumatic brain injury.

Bjelland could get up to 10 years in prison when he is sentenced in late February.
