Plans Moving Ahead for Rochester’s 2nd Street Corridor
Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - Although it’s still a work in progress, proposed changes and enhancements to the 2nd St corridor in the St Marys Hospital area are beginning to take shape.
The Rochester City Council was updated on the DMC St Marys Place District Monday.
Planned changes to the street between 11th Ave on the east and Highway 52 on the west are expected to be beneficial to both vehicle traffic and pedestrians.
The plan is expected to serve as a guide for future development in the corridor, including the city’s major reconstruction of 2nd St in that area. The City Council was told plans for the reconstruction project are being finalized and should be wrapped up within 90 days.
