Pine Island to Holmen CapX2020 Connection Dedicated
Holmen, WI (KROC-AM News) - Another portion of the CapX2020 project was formally dedicated Tuesday morning.
The 90-mile segment runs from Pine Island to Holmen Wisconsin, linking western Wisconsin to the 345 kilovolt power transmission system that spans Minnesota.
Xcel Energy says entire CapX2020 Hampton-Rochester-La Crosse project, which also includes two 161-kilovolt lines that feed Rochester and a 40-mile, 345-kilovolt segment between Hampton and Pine Island, is expected to be complete in 2016.
The overall cost of the CapX2020 project is nearly $2 billion.
