Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - A man and woman from Stewartville have been formally charged in connection with a shooting in Rochester on Tuesday that left a 23-year-old man in critical condition.

22-year-old Gerardo Esquivel-Olveda was formally arraigned Thursday on 2nd degree attempted murder, 2nd degree assault and a driveby shooting charge for allegedly shooting Kameron Jones in the abdomen during an altercation outside a home in the 1100 block of 4th street southeast near St. Francis Catholic Church. Artisha Blackman, who is facing a charge of aiding an offender. Police say she was in the car with Olveda when the shooting took place.

Olveda was arrested about an hour after the shooting at a residence in Stewartville, while Blackman was taken into custody the following day.

Conditional bail for Olveda was set at $200,000, while Blackman’s was set at $25,000 dollars. Both are due back in court on August 30th.
