Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - The Olmsted County Family Support and Assistance office was open during the weekend to accommodate those who may be affected by the partial federal government shutdown.

And it’s now been decided to keep the office open after hours Monday to provide assistance to those who use the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program.

The office - located at 2117 Campus Drive SE - will remain open until 7:00 PM. The county says staff will process applications, renewals, and other paperwork needed to determine February SNAP benefits.

Counties have been directed by the state to issue February SNAP benefits early.

The Olmsted County call center will also be open through 7:00 PM at 507-328-6500.
