Rochester, MN (KROC AM News)  – Rochester’s liquor stores and brewpubs will be allowed to sell carry out alcohol later in the evening as of this Friday.

The Rochester City Council on Monday gave final approval to a change in the current off sale liquor sales ordinance. This means liquor stores and brewpubs will be allowed to sell their take home alcohol products from 8 a.m. - 10 p.m. Monday through Saturday.

The modified ordinance will also  allow brewpubs to sell beer through 10 p.m. on Sunday, two hours later than the previous version permitted.

The City Clerk’s office says the ordinance change will be published Thursday, which means it becomes effective on Friday.
