Goodview, MN (Learfield News Service) - Authorities in southeastern Minnesota say a missing Goodview woman has been located safe in Rockford, Illinois.

Goodview Police Chief Kent Russell says 31-year-old Leigh Meska called her parents Thursday night to let them know where she was and they went to Illinois to pick her up. Rockford police also made contact with Meska.

Russell said Thursday afternoon that she had been seen in La Crosse, Winona and made a call to a bus service in Rochester, and was not in danger.

Meska was reported missing Wednesday morning after not showing up for work at the Mayo Clinic and authorities launched a search in subzero temperatures. She has an 11-year-old son and is reportedly engaged.
