Somali-Americans living in Minnesota are strongly condemning the threats made by the al-Shabab terrorist group in a video that was released over the weekend. In a joint statement issued by leaders of the state’s Somali-Muslim community on Monday, they condemned all forms of terrorism or threats of terrorism and repudiated any individual or group that would carry out such attacks or make such threats.

The video calls on Muslims to carry out attacks on shopping malls in western nations and specifically mentions the Mall of America in Bloomington.

Law enforcement officials have said they do not have any information about a credible threat against the shopping complex.
