Undated (Learfield Wire Services) -- A macadamia nut recall affecting local grocery stores is being expanded.

Seven brands of packaged raw macadamia nuts are now being recalled because they could be contaminated with salmonella. The initial recall only affected HyVee brand nuts. Now, nuts from Minnesota-based Target's exclusive Market Pantry brand is also part of the recall, along with Shurfine, Western Family, Pear's Gourmet, Cash-Wa Distributing and Nutpro C-C brand macadamia nuts.

Marathon Ventures issued the recall after the contamination was found during a routine product sampling by the F-D-A. Consumers can return the nuts for a full refund or replacement.
