Longtime Rochester Drug Dealer Busted Again
Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - A Rochester man with a history of dealing drugs was busted again Thursday night while returning from Chicago with 16 pounds of marijuana.
Officers intercepted 31-year-old Quran Bennett in the area of Highway 52 and I-90 and found the pot in his car, along with two guns - and two children.
Bennett has a history of dealing drugs dating back to 2004. He was sentenced to 5 years in prison in 2007 for one conviction and was given a 78-month term in 2014 for selling crack cocaine.
Earlier this year, he was in a car that was pulled over for a traffic stop and an officer found nearly 7 pounds of pot in the vehicle. Four weeks ago, he was sentenced to 5 years probation for that conviction.
