Minneapolis, MN (KROC-AM News) - A member of his leaving the University of Minnesota men's basketball team is leaving.

Gophers head coach Richard Pitino issued a statement Monday afternoon indicating that guard Kevin Dorsey is leaving the program and is seeking transfer to another school.
“After discussion with Kevin and his family, we all feel that it is best for him to transfer and get closer to home,” said Pitino. “We wish Kevin nothing but the best moving forward, and will assist him in the process in any way that we can.”
The freshman from Maryland appeared in 26 games, playing off the bench. He averaged 18.2 minutes per game and totaled 178 points (6.8 ppg), 60 rebounds (2.3 rpg), 37 assists (1.4 apg) and 12 steals (0.5 spg) with six blocks.
