Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - Some evidence from a weekend burglary of a Rochester Salvation Army store was found Monday night - burning.

Police were called to a residence in the 2300 block of 18 ½ Ave NW around 11:00 PM to check a report of a small fire.

Someone had left a duffel bag burning outside the residence. Receipts that survived the fire linked the bag and items inside to the Salvation Army store located along the west Highway 52 frontage road. Intruders vandalized parts of the building before making off with property and $2,000 in cash.
