Minnesota had an early 4-1 lead but could not hold on as the game went extras tied 5-5.  It became the longest game in Big Ten tourney history when Iowa finally scored a couple in the top of the 13th and the Gophers were retired in order to end the game, four hours and 57 minutes after the opening pitch.

Iowa will next play for the title against the winner of Sunday morning's game between Northwestern and Maryland.
