Minneapolis, MN (Minnesota News Network) - A grand jury returned an indictment this week on the son of an Elk River police officer accused of killing his father and brother.

Twenty-two-year-old Chris Besser now faces two counts of first-degree premeditated murder and charges of second-degree murder for the May 9th deaths of his father and older brother. The bodies of 49-year-old Todd Besser and 27-year-old Blake Besser were found in their St. Michael home.

Besser surrendered to authorities at a gas station shortly after the bodies were found.
