Former Vermont Governor Howard Dean surprised a group of state Democratic Party chairs in Denver when he announced he wouldn't seek to hold onto the chairmanship.  Ellison says he loves being in Congress to serve his neighbors, but he thinks it's even more important to strengthen the D-N-C.

Ellison supported Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders in the primary.
