Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - Rochester and Olmsted County have been left out of the bonding bill that’s being proposed by Republicans in charge of the Minnesota House.

The package was finally unveiled Tuesday night and it has a price tag of $800 million. About a third would fund transportation projects.

Rochester was seeking $5 million to help pay for a major upgrade of the customs area of the city airport to be in  compliance with federal requirements.

Olmsted County’s request for funds for the local reading center and Chester Woods Trail project was also rejected.

RCTC’s $20 million request for a major renovation project was also left out of the bill.
