You know, there are a handful of bands and artists that make it impossible to be sad when they play their upbeat tunes. Among them – Van Hagar (Yes, Van HAGAR, I didn’t stutter) Journey, and Aerosmith.

But one of the most fun, upbeat, soulful groups around is Hall and Oats. “You Make My Dreams (Come True)” “Rich Girl” and “Kiss On My List” are timeless, fun tunes. I dig it. I’ve always been a fan of their writing chemistry. I rank them right up there with Paul McCartney and John Lennon, and Simon and Garfunkel. John’s guitar licks with Darryl’s smooth, silky voice is a recipe for perfection.

These guys have been active since the 70s, and they still aren’t showing any signs of slowing down. They have a handful of dates booked for 2019, and one of them just so happens to be in Minnesota. Hall and Oates will be performing at the Minnesota State Fair on August 28th at 7:30 pm. Tickets go on sale on March 8th at 10 am and will cost between $57 and $67.
