Rochester, MN ( KROC AM News)  - Gasoline prices have shot up in Rochester, something that has been reported around the country in recent days.

Rochester’s average price for regular was at $2.40 as of Saturday -  an increase of 15 cents from earlier in the week.

Prices have also gone up in other parts of Minnesota. According to Minnesogasprices.com, the average price for regular is now at $2.40.That’s up 20% from just a month ago, when prices had slipped below $2 a gallon.

Still, gasoline is a lot cheaper than it was at this time last year when regular was selling for nearly $3.50 a gallon.
