Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - The former president of the Rochester Symphony Orchestra and Chorale has been ordered to pay over $18,500 in restitution for taking money from a vulnerable adult who had been living in a local group home. In addition to the restitution, 46-year-old Jeffrey Amundson will also spend six months on probation.

He earlier entered an Alford plea to a felony theft charge in the case. The plea means he does not admit guilt, but acknowledges there is enough evidence to convict him. The criminal complaint says he had power of attorney and was in charge of the man’s financial affairs when the money was taken.

Amundson resigned from his position with the music group last April, three months after he was charged.
