Fleck Leads Gophers against Buffalo

The P.J. Fleck era begins Thursday for the University of Minnesota football team.  

Fleck takes the helm as the Golden Gophers head coach as they begin the 2017 season by hosting the University of Buffalo at TCF Bank Stadium.  Fleck comes from Western Michigan, where he led the Broncos to a 13-1 record last season.  He inherits a solid, but young Minnesota squad.  The Gophers are coming off a 9-4 season, capped off by a 17-12 win over Washington State in the Qualcomm Bowl.  Thursday’s season opener against Buffalo can be heard on KROC-AM.  Pre-game coverage begins at 5:00 pm.
