Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - Today is the final Thursdays on First in Rochester. And, it's going to be a very busy sports day.

The popular downtown event started its 2017 run back on June 1st. There were a few rainouts this year but for the most part, it was another good season for vendors and participants. It runs from 11:00 - 8:30 and includes music at 5:00 and 7:00.

Good weather is expected today, which should mean a good crowd for the finale.

It may also be crowded in parts of downtown Minneapolis today, thanks to a triple-header in sports. The Twins play at noon at Target Field, the Gophers play their first football game of the season at TCF Bank stadium at 6:00 and the Vikings wrap up their preseason schedule with a 7:00 game against Miami at US Bank stadium.

The Gopher game will mark the debut of new coach PJ Fleck. News-Talk 1340 KROC AM will have coverage of the game beginning at 5:00
