Faribault Man Suspected of Murdering Ohio Woman

Faribault, MN (MNN) - A Faribault man is expected to be formally charged Monday with the murder of an Ohio woman.

26-year-old Chelsea Martinez disappeared from Columbus, Ohio on July 30th and her car was found abandoned at a park just west of Faribault on August 3rd.

Officials say 39-year-old Jason Nisbit lured Martinez to southern Minnesota during online conversations and when investigators learned about that connection, Nisbit led them to the young woman’s body in park near Faribault.

He was taken into custody on Friday and is being held on suspicion of second-degree murder.
