Additional Information

The Albert Lea Grizzlies, founded in 2009, are a non-profit, adult/amateur, full contact football team. The Grizzlies are a member of the Southern Plains Football League (SPFL). They are funded entirely by donations and player fees and all of the Grizzlies home games are free to the public.

National rock band Saving Abel has agreed to headline a fundraising concert for the Albert Lea Grizzlies Tuesday April 24th at the Wedgewood Cove in Albert Lea. Saving Abel is a Platinum selling rock band. Their first single “Addicted” reached number one on several charts. Their follow up singles “18 Days”, “Drowning”, “Miss America”, “Sex is Good”, and “Stupid Girl” solidified Saving Abel’s career both on the radio and as a live act. Saving Abel has headlined shows across the country and shared the stage with the biggest acts in rock.

Tickets for this “all-ages” show are $15.00 in advance and are available now or $20.00 at the door. VIP tables with reserved seating and separate beverage service are also available. Tickets can be purchased at the Wedgewood Cove and Chapel Comics & Collectibles Shoppe in Albert Lea, or online at www.algrizzlies.com. Toggo Ultrarock, originally from Norway, and Minnesota’s own Strange Daze will open the show. For more information visit the Albert Lea Grizzlies facebook page or www.algrizzlies.com.
