Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - Absentee voting in Olmsted County for Minnesota’s August primary is underway.

Voters who want to cast a ballot before the Aug. 14th primary can do so, either by mail or in person.

Voters in Olmsted County who want to vote in person can go to the county’s election headquarters at Graham Park, now through the day before the primary (Aug 13th). New registrations are also being accepted at the site. Staff is there to answer any questions voters have.

There is also a great website for any and all election/voting questions - MNVOTES.ORG.  Voters can also register at that site.

We sat down and chatted about the absentee voting process with Pam Fuller, Olmsted County’s election chief.  She touches on what is needed, spoiled ballots, a ballot do-over and more.

Here are some important dates for the primary election:

June 29th through August 13th - Vote by mail or in person for the Primary

July 24th - The last day to register in advance to save time on Primary Election Day

August 14th - Primary Election Day

And coming SOON.  News-Talk KROC-AM will soon offer a new online service that will feature all the local candidates' bios and their views on certain issues.
