Minneapolis, MN (Learfield Wire Services) --  Federal prosecutors and defense attorneys will give closing arguments next Tuesday in the federal terrorism trial for three men.

Guled Omar, Abdirahman Daud and Mohammed Farah are accused of trying to join the Islamic State and commit murder abroad.

Omar took the stand in his own defense Thursday and Friday, at the end of the three-week trial, but his two co-defendants did not. Omar told the court his taped comments about leaving for Syria were just a case of him "talking big" around his friends, but he never intended to go to Syria.
