LONG PRAIRIE (WJON News) - A man was airlifted to a Twin Cities hospital after getting shot by a fellow hunter. The Todd County Sheriff's Office says it happened on Friday at about 5:15 p.m. in Long Prairie.

Forty-four-year-old Devlin Marcyes had been hunting with 42-year-old Bradley Schmidt. Marcyes was wiping off his rifle when it discharged hitting Schmidt in the upper leg.

Schmidt was taken to Long Prairie Hospital, then airlifted to North Memorial Hospital.

The incident remains under investigation.
