Boat Fire Sends Man to Hospital

HAGER CITY, Wis. (AP) — Authorities say a western Wisconsin man working on his boat was injured when the motor burst into flames.

The Pierce County sheriff's office was notified of the boat fire in Hager City just before 6 p.m. Saturday.

The sheriff's office says 57-year-old Mark Anthony Bradley was working on his 1988 Celebrity boat while it was parked on a trailer in his yard. After Bradley tried to start the boat motor, the motor ignited into flames.

Bradley was taken to Regions Hospital in St. Paul, Minnesota, where he is reported in fair condition Sunday.

The sheriff's office is investigating.
