OWATONNA, Minn. (AP) — Authorities have confirmed the identity of a man whose body was found in southern Minnesota.

The Steele County sheriff's office identifies the man as 22-year-old Richard William Jurgensen of Medford.

Sheriff Lon Thiele said in a news release that Jurgensen's death is being investigated as a homicide. No one has been arrested.

The Owatonna People's Press reports a 911 call alerted police to the body early Sunday. The body was found on a gravel road in a rural area of Steele County.

The sheriff says authorities are not yet able to release the exact cause or estimated time of death.
