Apparent Murder-Suicide in Carver County

NORWOOD YOUNG AMERICA, Minn. (AP) — Sheriff's officials are investigating the deaths of a couple in Carver County.

Authorities say the shooting deaths appear to be a murder suicide case. Deputies were called to a residence in Norwood Young America about 5 p.m. Wednesday by a man who had returned home to find his male roommate dead in the garage.

Deputies searched the residence and found a woman who had suffered a gunshot wound to the head concealed in a plastic waterfowl decoy bag. Investigators say the man in the garage apparently shot himself.

Their identities have not been released. The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension is helping with the investigation.
