Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - Organizers of the annual Festival of Trees in Rochester are reporting the 2016 event was a big success.

Preliminary figures show the display of over 100 decorated Christmas trees and associated events at the Mayo Civic Center in late November brought in nearly $183,000 for the Hiawatha Homes Foundation. Organizers say that is the second highest total in the history of the fundraiser.

Attendance at the 2016 Festival of Trees was estimated at 15,000.
