Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - There has been another fatal traffic accident in southeastern Minnesota, the third one in less than a week.

The Minnesota State Patrol says the latest wreck happened around 6 a.m. Monday on Highway 61 about 10 miles south of Winona. No information has been released yet. The Patrol says the roadway was icy at the time of the wreck.  

It was the third fatal accident in southeast Minnesota in the past few days. Over the weekend, a 20-year-old was killed in a head-on collision on Highway 14, just east of RCTC. The other fatal wreck happened last Thursday night on Highway 52 between Chatfield and Fountain. A teenager from Canton was killed in that head-on collision.
