Rochester, MN  (KROC AM News) - There is another candidate for a seat on the Rochester City Council.

The latest to announce campaign plans is Patrick Keane.

He plans to make a run for the 1st ward seat held by Ed Hruska, who said earlier he doesn’t plan to seek a new term. Earlier this week, local businesswoman Heather Holmes announced she plans to run for the same seat.

Keane says he has been engaged in the community for many years and is currently serving on multiple city and county boards. He retired from IBM after a 35-year career as a software engineer and manager of development and quality projects. He currently shares a paraprofessional position at Bamber Valley School.
