Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - Four Rochester high school students aced their ACT during the 2016-2017 year. And all attended Century High School.

The four are senior Yugene Guo and juniors Aaron Mead, Kevin Meng-Lin and Michael Thomas.

The district says nearly 1,200 Rochester students took the most recent test.

The ACT is used to measure a high school student’s general educational development and capability to complete college-level work with tests in English, math, reading and science. Each test is scored on a scale of one to 36, and a student’s composite score is the average of the four test scores.

“We are proud of our students’ academic successes,” said Rochester Public Schools Superintendent Michael Munoz. “Our job is to prepare our students for college and career readiness. This is a testament of our excellent teachers and programming,” added Munoz. “I look forward to watching our students continued successes in the future.”
