Undated (KROC AM News) - There are no personal income taxes in Florida - which is a big deal for a certain person.

That certain person is waking up Saturday a multi-millionaire.

He or she bought the one ticket that matched all the numbers in Friday night's Mega Millions lottery drawing. The game’s grand prize had soared to $450,000,000 by the time of the drawing-  the 4th largest Mega Millions jackpot on record and 10th largest of all US lottery games.

The ticket was sold at a convenience store in Port Richey, which is in the Tampa Bay area.

The cash value of the huge jackpot was put at $281,000,000, before taxes.  And again, there are no personal income taxes in Florida. Had the ticket been sold in Minnesota the winner would have to pay federal AND state income taxes. In this case, the state’s take would be around 10 percent or $28,000,000 - an unexpected windfall for Minnesota's state government budget.

An even bigger jackpot is up for grabs Saturday night.

The Powerball jackpot grew again Friday night and was worth $570,000,000 Saturday morning - the 5th largest in the game’s history. It will likely grow even more before the drawing, perhaps as high as $600,000,000.
