911 Transcripts From St. Cloud Mall Attack Released

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — The first person to call 911 as a man stabbed people at a Minnesota mall in September urged a dispatcher to send an ambulance, saying: "There's blood everywhere."

Transcripts of about 100 calls to 911 during the Sept. 17 attack in St. Cloud were released Tuesday. They show a mix of confusion and fear.

Some callers described victims who had run into stores. Others said there was a stabbing and a shooting and the attacker looked like a police officer. Some callers said they were hiding in bathrooms or dressing rooms. Dispatchers told them to stay put.

Twenty-year-old Dahir Ahmed Adan was wearing a security uniform and armed with steak knives when he injured 10 people. Authorities say he referenced Islam during the attack. An off-duty officer killed him.
