Zebra mussels are spreading in Minnesota lakes, with five more in Central Minnesota noted as having the invasive species by the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources recently.

They're already prevalent in Lake Zumbro and other locations around southeastern Minnesota but, according to DNR Conservation Officer Phil George, only 5% of our lakes show signs of the invasive species so far.
